14. Austral University

Austral University is the leading private higher education institution in Argentina, with a community of +9000 students. It offers +380 undergraduate, graduate and diploma programs, and has +20,000 graduates since its foundation in 1991. Austral University is the first private management university in Argentina and ranks first in article citations according to the QS Ranking. It is also the first university in Argentina according to the Times Higher Education Latin America University Rankings 2023. 

The ACT4SDG Project leaders (Delfina and Santiago) are affiliated to Austral University School of Education (austral.edu.ar/educacion/). In addition, the project is hosted by Center for Sustainability and Social Innovation at Universidad Austral (CESIS Austral; CESIS Website). Connecting actors, organizations, and the broader system, CESIS Austral aims to provide an interdisciplinary approach to 3 priority regional challenges: (1) Poverty and inequality; (2) Environmental degradation; (3) Institutional weakness; through research, teaching, and transfer that may promote the systemic resilience of Latin America. CESIS is member of the Network for Business Sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN).
